My wife and I were in the process of purchasing a house within a very nice new development in Saugus when, by accident, we found Twin Springs Estates. The house we were purchasing was almost completely built, and we could “customize” it with some personal selections, such as colors and rug selection.
Little did we know on how huge the difference was between this “customized” house and a “customized home” at Twin Springs built by O’Neil Homes Inc.!
We had purchase a new “built on speculation” home several years before we began this search for another new home because the yard was small and we wanted the design to changed a bit. Well, Lou O’Neil the founder of O’Neil Homes, Inc. and developer of Twin Springs Estates showed us how, we could have a truly “custom home”. Boy, how professionally he handle all the designed changes we wanted, and he provided us with several fantastic ideas, most of which we included in the final design. The home of our dreams was then put to paper by an Architect.
Wow, to have plans on paper with our perfect home design! We approved the plans and construction started. We visited the site frequently and experienced extremely high quality people working on building our home. Everything from the site excavation work through the final paint, the cooperation from all was incredible. Lou personally met with us on a regular basis, to explain any questions we had and to deal with decisions we had to make. You see, we wanted to choice many items ourselves such as cabinets, granite counter tops, backsplash, kitchen faucet, appliances, fireplace mantle, hardwood floors and carpeting. As we progressed, Lou cooperated with several additional items we wanted changed. His wiliness to work with us made this exciting and sometimes onerous project enjoyable.
We are very happy here at Twin Springs which is a very friendly community and has a true family atmosphere. We would do it again!

We had been looking for years for the perfect location with privacy and woods when we found Twin Springs Estates in Saugus. What a find! I have personally been in the construction business for over forty years and just needed a beautiful piece of land that would fit our custom designed house that my wife and I designed with our long time architect friend.
Working with the developer of the development Lou O’Neil, was a painless task. Even though our house was a complicated lay out, he made several suggestions that actually improved the functionality and appearance.
Even with my many years experience in the construction field, this was my first house to be built from scratch and Lou was awesome to work with as when I asked, he helped any way he could. First, he arranged for the tree clearing, then the excavation for the foundation, then the blasting, the water and sewerage, the backfilling. He did everything he promised and more!!
My family and I are extremely happy here at Twin Springs and could not be happier that we purchase this lot.
Lou O'Neil was so very helpful and such a nice guy to work with that he became a close and dear friend to me.
I have seen his work on building homes in our development and found he goes over and beyond expectations to see things are done the correct way and the right way. I know for fact he sleeps well knowing his work is done right and will last for years.
